On-line Safety

Online Safety

Within school and across our Multi-Academy Trust we utilise RM SafetyNet for the filtering and monitoring of our computer equipment and online activities. This system is set up to 'assume you are a child' unless told otherwise. This means that a high level of filtering and monitoring takes place. Alerts are sent to nominated staff members including the Safeguarding Lead.

These alerts and reports are scrutinised and also regularly reviewed by a Local Academy Board member. If further investigation or clarification is needed then our support provider, ICT4, are immediately contacted.

However, we realise that such filtering and monitoring is not always in place within our households. The sites and links below will help provide guidance and advice but if you have any questions regarding online safety, please contact school and we will do our best to help.

The 'internet matterswebsite offers wonderful, easy to understand, resources and step-by-step help guides for supporting our children to use the internet safely at home and school.
